Stephan Siegrist

I have been able to share my passion for sport with disadvantaged children for as long as I can remember. For me, it is a beautiful and enriching experience to see how much joy children have and how grateful they are.

As Laureus ambassadors, our aim is to make sport activities accessible to more children, despite their setbacks. The goal of the Laureus Foundation Switzerland is to help children and young people to lead a positive and self-determined life through sport.

I see it as my task to engage young athletes, to support them and to share some the experience I have collected along the way. I can still remember what it was like as a passionate young athlete: The motivation to follow my passion was great, but often there was a lack of financial means.

That's why I am committed to two young athletes and their respective sports. It is unbelievably enriching to see how the two young men have spent their time, dedicated to thier sport and training hard! More impartantly, despite their successes they have remianed modest and hard working. Both Reef and Frederico always try to give their best; they do so with healthy ambition and good team spirit.

I am very proud to be part of their journey and wish them both continued success!
